Our route begins at one of the most spectacular spots in the Bardenas: a majestic “cabezo” that offers us a unique panoramic view of the entire desert. From here, you can enjoy an impressive view that stretches across the endless horizon and the eroded relief that characterises this landscape.

After admiring the view, we begin to descend through the “caídas” of Bardena Negra, a rugged terrain that takes us to our next destination. Here, the landscape becomes a scene of fascinating textures and colours, where the contrasts between the rocky formations and the red-earth fields are unmatched.

After an exciting descent, we arrive at a bardenera cabin, where we take a well-deserved break. This traditional shepherds’ shelter is the perfect place to enjoy a picnic while taking in the surrounding landscape. The views from here connect us with the true essence of the Bardenas: a wild natural space, full of calm and beauty.

We continue our route until we reach Bardena Blanca, one of the most iconic areas of the desert. Here, the ground becomes lighter, and the Cabezo de Cortinillas rises before us like a gigantic pillar of earth, defying the erosion of time. This is a place of great visual beauty and an undisputed symbol of the region.

From the top of Cortinillas we will see the most spectacular views of the entire natural park, such as Pisquerra, a landscape that looks like it belongs in a movie set. It was a land of bandits, the most famous of all being Sanchicorrota, who had his refuge nearby, where he was surrounded and killed.

Following the same path, we reach another of the most impressive spots in the Bardenas. This geological formation, known for its distinctive shape, is one of the icons of the region. Its imposing structure and its location in the middle of the desert make this place a must-see on our route.
